What counts as a breach?
There’s only one rule that breaches your account: your equity reaching your loss limit.
Your loss limit is your plan’s maximum drawdown, and it trails your account as it reaches new highs:
Plan | Maximum drawdown | How the loss limit trails |
Basic Options | 5% | Intraday, in real time |
Advanced Options | 5% | At the end of each day |
Rapid Express | 3% | Intraday, in real time |
Rapid Elite | 3% | At the end of each day |
Your equity includes open positions, and the loss limit is enforced in real time on every plan. If your equity touches it at any point during the day, the account is breached and disabled.
These don’t breach your account:
Being over your consistency limit. You just keep trading until it comes down.
Not yet meeting a minimum trade or trading-day requirement. There’s no time limit to meet it.
Positions still open at 3:59pm EST. They’re closed automatically at market.
There’s no daily loss limit on any plan.
What happens when you’re breached?
Evaluation
Your Evaluation is disabled. There’s no penalty beyond that. You can reset it straight away and start again from your plan’s starting balance.
Performance Account
Your Performance Account closes. Resetting it starts you on a new Evaluation at your plan’s starting balance.
If you requested a payout before the breach, it will still be processed, as long as the amount had already been deducted from your balance.
How to reset your account
Log in to your Vanquish Dashboard.
Go to the Payments page.
Click Reset Disabled Account.
Use a reset credit if you have one, or purchase a reset.
Your account is reactivated immediately, and you can start trading right away.
How much does a reset cost?
Reset prices depend on your plan and account size:
Account size | Basic Options | Advanced Options | Rapid Express | Rapid Elite |
$10,000 | $49 | $99 | $39 | $45 |
$50,000 | $125 | $249 | $99 | $149 |
$75,000 | $187 | $399 | $149 | $225 |
$100,000 | $250 | $499 | $199 | $299 |
$150,000 | $375 | $749 | $299 | $349 |
For monthly prices and full plan details, see your plan’s Pricing article.
What a reset changes
A reset gives you a clean start, as if it were your first day:
Your balance goes back to your plan’s starting balance (for example, $50,000).
All your metrics reset, including your profit target progress, loss limit, consistency and trade or trading-day count.
Your account is active again immediately.
What a reset doesn’t change
Your subscription and billing date. Resets are separate from your monthly subscription, so using one doesn’t move your billing date.
Your plan and account size. You restart on the same plan and size you were on.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a limit on how many times I can reset?
No. You can reset as many times as you need.
Do I have to wait for my next billing date to reset?
No. You can reset at any time and start trading straight away.
Does a reset change my billing date?
No. Your subscription and billing date stay the same.
Can I reset a Performance Account?
Yes. A breached Performance Account closes, and resetting it starts you on a new Evaluation at your plan’s starting balance.
What happens to a payout I requested before I was breached?
It’s still processed, as long as the amount was deducted from your balance before the breach.
Will I be breached if I forget to close a position before the close?
No. Any position still open at 3:59pm EST is closed automatically at market. It isn’t a breach, but the automatic fill may be worse than closing it yourself.
