What is the Daily Consistency Rule?
No single day can make up 50% or more of your total profit. This rewards building results across several days.
If your consistency is 50% or higher, your account is not breached. You just keep trading until it comes down.
How to Calculate
Consistency = Best day ÷ Total profit
A day's profit is the net result of all trades you closed that day. A losing day is a negative number.
Best day is your single most profitable day.
Total profit is your net profit across all days, so losing days reduce it.
Quick tip: Double your best day to find the total profit you need to beat. If your best day is $2,600, your total profit needs to be more than $5,200 ($2,600 × 2).
Why You'll Need at Least 3 Trading Days
There's no minimum number of trading days, but the 50% rule means you can't pass in fewer than 3. With only 2 days, your better day is always at least half of your total.
Example: Two days of $2,300 give a total of $4,600. Your best day is exactly 50%, which isn't below 50%, so you need at least one more trading day.
Worked Example: $50,000 Evaluation
Your profit target is $4,500. After 4 trading days:
Day | Profit/loss |
1 | +$800 |
2 | +$2,600 |
3 | −$300 |
4 | +$1,500 |
Total | $4,600 |
Consistency = $2,600 ÷ $4,600 = 56.5%
You've passed the profit target, but your consistency is 50% or higher. You haven't failed. You keep trading.
Notice the losing day: without Day 3, your total would be $4,900 and your consistency 53.1%. Losing days lower your total profit, which raises your consistency.
On Day 5, you make +$700. Your total profit is now $5,300.
Consistency = $2,600 ÷ $5,300 = 49.1%
Your consistency is now below 50%, so you've passed.
Frequently Asked Questions
My consistency is 50% or higher. Will my account be breached?
No. Keep trading to bring it down. Consistency only decides when you can pass or request a payout.
Can a losing day break the rule?
No. But losing days reduce your total profit, which makes your best day a bigger share of it. Track your running total alongside your best day.
Does consistency apply on my Performance Account too?
Yes. Your daily consistency must be below 50% when you request a payout.
Does my consistency reset after a payout?
Yes. Your consistency starts fresh after each payout, so you'll need at least 3 more trading days before your next one.
